no guessing
fun solve
i worked the lower right corner to death with edge logic (each time i got a dot in 1 column it allowed me to do another column, which gave me a dot or two and allowed me to then rework edge logic on a previous column

Yeah, it kind of felt like some sort of "stair logic"
#6: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 7, 2011

#7: ik (ik) on Dec 7, 2011

Yikes, that edge logic sure was challenging. Fun solve, Nathan.

Did the same as Bugaboo, no guessing, challenging to begin with, then it all just 'fell' into place, just like you said Nathan, poor tree, great puzzle, thanks :)

It looks to me as though the tree is skiing downhill, with the diagonal lines flickering between "swoosh lines" and scarves flapping in the wind. XP

I almost gave up on this puzzle. I glanced at the comments to see if bugaboo gave it the thumbs up. Reassured, I tackled it again and ended up solving it the same way.
