That's a HUGE slice of pizza!! :)#2: Levi Ross (rhodyboy888) on Dec 2, 2011 [HINT]

I had to guess. The computer said it had a unique solution and I was in a rush so I submitted it. I don't think it is solvable by logic alone. Sorry guys. :(#4: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 2, 2011 [SPOILER]
That's a TINY glass of soda!! :)#5: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 2, 2011 [HINT]
...down to 58 blank squares left to fill...still trying without guessing...

I had to guess.#7: Levi Ross (rhodyboy888) on Dec 2, 2011
Yea - I usually try the combo two-way logic whenever I am truly stumped. It was hard for this puzzle because I already knew the solution so I just wound up guessing.#8: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Dec 2, 2011
Your making me hungry Levi, good job.:)#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 2, 2011 [HINT]

Haha, you guys are funny.#12: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 4, 2011 [HINT]
Levi, your comment #2 should be classified as a spoiler, not a hint.
David, telling us what your moves felt like didn't really help if you didn't give us the coordinates. So I don't think that counts as a hint. But thanks anyway.
Kristen, assuming a few 2x2 squares is guessing, not a hint.
Tom, your hint is a real hint. I'd say thanks, but I got as far as you did and am stuck in the same spot. Arrggghhh.
Jota, I'm with you - have to guess to finish this one.

dbouldin i had almost everything you had for a while when i got stuck#14: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Dec 4, 2011 [HINT]
i was reading over your hints and i was confused about one of them (upon which the rest apparently hinges):
about halfway through your hints, you wrote "EL C2 to dot C3R14-15"
how did you do that?

Found to be logically solvable by gator.#16: Gator (gator) on Dec 5, 2011
Probably one of the hardest 20x20s out there. Great solve.#17: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Dec 5, 2011
that worked#18: Tom King (sgusa) on Dec 8, 2011 [HINT]
thanks
great solve

I just did this by random - the image looked to me to be alighter about to be applied to a rather dirty jock strap - either that was just a decision that it was too dirty to be washed, or else it was an act in (dubious) support of women's lib (to match the libbers burning their brassieres).#20: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 8, 2017
Nice slice of pizza. Looks yummy. For the left edge of the pizza, I used lookahead all the way down and found that it never contradicted any columns and rows. I suppose that is technically guessing, but you must admit, if it wasn't the correct solution, it probably would not have worked all the way down.#21: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Dec 9, 2017
Lookahead is a valid logical step. Note that the solvability is listed as "moderate lookahead".#22: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 9, 2017
I just felt that I settled and didn't rule out other options before I went ahead. After all, just because the direction I went in worked as far as I took it, didn't mean that another way wouldn't work. The way I settled for could have led me down a false path after I'd gone quite a ways. Obviously lookahead is valid, but I felt with this particular puzzle at a particular spot, it needed more. Maybe, maybe not. I think I'm at the solving stage of a sophomore, which means "wise fool." I think I know everything that I'm doing, but I've still got things to learn. Neehee. ;D#23: Aurelian Ginkgo (AurelianGinkgo) on Dec 9, 2017
Sorry, double post.#24: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on Jul 9, 2019 [SPOILER]
I saw what perlwood saw - but instead of a jockstrap I thought it looked like a banana hammock on a clothesline#25: besmirched tea (Besmirched Tea) on Jul 9, 2019 [SPOILER]
:/
the whole time i solved, I thought the slice was a cocktail and the other was a flask in the distance. i totally do see the pope in the pizza
