Puzzle Description:

Pravda! Old cold war pun (apologies to those who might take offense). How many read the title and thought: "Zebra/penguin/nun with sunburn/blushing"?

For Marz's Challenge. Simple, silly, & a bit lame. A Low-Def version of the logo which can be seen at their site: http://english.pravda.ru/ :) An easy puzzle.

I remember that joke! It's weird to go back and watch early 80s movies and see just how prevalent the Cold War sentiments were.

kristen, I think that was a way of coping w/ & diminishing the fears of the very real possibility of WW3.

Very nice. I remember it also.

now after looking up pravda, i see why you didnt add "newspaper" to your list of other possibilities in the description

by the way this image looks very similar to the logo of the philadelphia flyers

Cool puzzle Kit, the first of the challenge puzzles that I have had a chance to solve, thank you! :)

Cool puzzle, Kit. I remember the duck and cover exercises at school, and the nightmare invoking documentaries of the cold war era.

When I was over there, the communist party had 2 papers, Pravda and Novosti. "Pravda" means 'truth', and "Novosti" means 'news'. There was a joke that Pravda contained no novosti, and Novosti contained no pravda.
