It's a balloon going up,then falling down when it's out of air,and a spinning wheel below the balloons.
Spinning Wheel by Blood,Sweat,and Tears.

I was completely stumped. If I'd gotten "spinning wheel" I wouldn't have known the band. Oh well. Can't win 'em all.

I looked up the song, which I know. I just didn't know the title or band. :)

i'm a little surprised you didn't know this one Kristen, your dad probably listened to them.David Clayton Thomas, was the lead singer,he has a very unusual voice and he is also a Canadian somewhat icon. This band was popular at the same time that Chicago was popular.
#6: Al LaPointe (kancamagus) on Nov 10, 2011 [SPOILER]
i was thinking of Temptation by New Order.... 'up, down, turn around'. it's more my daughter's music though. Spinning Wheel is more my speed :)

Helter Skelter/The Beatles.

when I get to the bottom, I go back to the top of the slide
Where I stop and turn and I go for a ride
Till I get to the bottom and I see you again

the arrows are out of order, but i swear that the top right image looks like a slide from my ghetto childhood.

I can see that!

The Goo Goo Dolls:

Baby's black ballon makes her fly,
I almost fell into that hole in your life
...Comin' down the world turned over...

Archie Bell & The Drells:

My balloon is going up
(My balloon is going up)...
I'm gonna try to meet the
kind of girl who can be trusted
And then I'll come back down to Earth
Cause my balloon will be busted"

Beastie Boys:

...Pop your balloon, pop-pop your balloon
Pop your balloon, pop-pop your balloon
Pop your balloon, pop-pop your balloon
Pop your balloon, pop-pop your balloon...

My dad was listening to a lot of cool jazz during this era. He had albums from Spyro Gyra, Chuck Mangione, and Ramsey Lewis. One of the neatest was Lewis' "Mother Nature's Son." He took 10 songs off the White Album and turned them into jazz instrumentals.

LOVE BS&T! Chicago, too, both have great horns. I think my favorite BS&T tune is "When I Die," the syncopated bridge section is fantastic.

Thx Joel,i love both bands too,and Lighthouse also. These 3 bands all had a jazz/rock fusion style.A lot of great music came from these bands.I started playing bass guitar in rock bands when i was 13yrs old,by the time i was 16,i was playing in a band that had a brass section(trumpet, sax, and trombone),we played a lot of music from these bands and it was the most exciting band i was ever in,except for the jug band, which was the ultimate. My favourite BS&T song was"God bless the child".:)
