Dubai is in UAE (United Arab Emirates) and it does have the tallest building in the world...by FAR.

The "Burj Khalifa"...

It is the tallest structure (2723ft) by 600 feet and tallest "building" by about 900 feet. It has 52 floors more than it's nearest competitor and has the world's fastest elevator (40mph) among many other records.
