Cool puzzle.

Great dog nose; he looks like a big jowlly dog.

Ort is a favorite word around my house. :)

What is an ort?

Cool puzzle
#8: Kristen Vognild (Kristen) on Oct 17, 2011 [SPOILER]
It's a morsel of food that's left over at the end of the meal. Or if you have a dog, it's the little scraps of kibble that seem to show up on the floor by the food bowl. :)

Sorry Gator, must be my lisdexia kicking in.

Ort is a word like sere, ewer, or stele, which only appear in crossword puzzles (and, apparently, in Kristen's home). Few people actually use these words, mostly because we don't know how to pronounce them, and do not wish to seem like fools if we say them around those few people who do.

The dog is of the genus Texius Averyum.
