Ok,i tried one on a large grid.I don't know if it works out any better or not,you tell me.This one is from a different angle which i thought made it sort of interesting. It was fun to make, hope you enjoy it.

There is no way I would even try and solve this one, but I did take a look, and Wow, very beautiful and well done Aldege, I do love your work! A grid is your canvas and pixels are your paint, and a mouse is your brush, such a wonderful artist you are : )

Thank you very much for your wonderful comment Marie-Louise. When i get people like yourself,Linda Martin,Teresa(fasstar),Tom(sensei),Kristen and many other wonderful puzzle creators tell me i am a wonderful artist, than i start to believe it myself. However,i mainly do this for myself, cause i get so much enjoyment from making puzzles. I think those of us here who enjoy making and solving puzzles owe Jan a huge debt of gratitude for starting this site. Thanks Jan.

Oh yes, Jan is my hero! :)

I admit, I don't physically solve most of your large multicolor puzzles (I do most of my puzzling on a tiny Netbook), but I always take a look at the finished image and the story you create around it. Marz, you should check out his At The Drive-In series!
#6: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 14, 2011
Thx Kristen, and thx for promoting my "At the Drive In" series, lol.I had so much fun making those puzzles.I'm glad you at least peek and enjoy my stories Kristen,as for solving most of my puzzles,i don't blame you for not trying a lot of them, they look daunting to me.I don't give much thought to the solving experience when i make puzzles,i tend to concentrate on the image and solvability, and i try to avoid it being symmetrical.I also try to have enough white to give it some challenge, but i don't plan it out to make sure it's a fun solve. It's usually a crap shoot and hope people enjoy the whole experience.

I would love to solve puzzles bigger than 30x30, but when I try my computer is deathly slow and can't seem to handle it. Any suggestions?
#8: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Oct 15, 2011
what browser are you using?
google chrome works great for all puzzles
firefox and internet explorer generally have a harder time handling large puzzles

Bugaboo,
Thanks for the advice. I downloaded Google Chrome and it worked like a charm. What a huge difference.

I love large puzzles and this is an exceptionally nice one in color. My favorites will always be larger challenging B&W's, but there is so much talent on this site that there is something fun for everyone!

A big "Thanks!" to all of those creators that give us hours of enjoyment.

Also, thanks for the hint, Bugaboo, about the browser. I have struggled for years with slow loading and funny glitches and am excited to try Google Chrome to see if my using Safari has been the problem all along.
#12: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Oct 17, 2011
Thx Minnie, your right about the great talent here and it sure is nice when someone like yourself takes the time to let us know you appreciate it. I use Safari and haven't had much trouble,a little slow at times, but not too bad.

Well, you asked for feedback, so here goes.

This puzzle was way too big for a multi-color image. A little tedious and lots of counting, so it was more work than fun. Out of 146 people who started this puzzle, only 32 finished it, so that might tell you something. But the image is very nice, I like the background detail. A 40x40 grid size might provide a better solving experience. You might have been able to get the detail you want in a 50x35 grid.

Large B&W on the other hand can be lots of fun to solve, if the image is good, and if they fit on the screen - horizontal is good. :-)

Thx for the feedback Teresa, trust me i didn't want it to be this big.I always start my puzzles on a 30x30 and work my way up or down from there with the hope of making them smaller. As i was making this one,i kept having to go larger because of the angle i was trying to achieve.I almost abandoned the whole thing when i got to 60x40 however the image was starting to take shape and i was really liking it,so i decided to go the full monty and get to 70x40. I knew a lot of people would not finish or even try to solve it,but i hoped someone would at least peek and enjoy the image and comment. I know you don't like to peek Teresa cause that spoils it for you,but i'm glad i published it cause i still like looking at it now and then.I promise i'll make more of the type you enjoy. Hugs..:)

Thanks, Aldege. Overall, I did enjoy this puzzle, it was worth the effort to finish it. :-)

Very tough rewarding puzzle. The image is great and the background makes it an outstanding work of art.

Pues a mí me ha gustado este puzzle, aunque ha sido largo de resolver. La imagen muy bonita, y me recuerda mi infancia.
