stop making puzzles.

Why karl? "Brian, your puzzles are too..." "I wish your puzzles were more..." I would really like to have your feedback. Most of the regular commenters seem to enjoy my puzzles but there are hundreds of solvers who never leave a comment. Perhaps some never even read the comment. but for everyone else, what do all of you think about what karl just said? Please keep the tone of the conversation civil. Thank you.

I think we have a troll, personally. (That's someone who joins a comment thread and deliberately says something to start an argument.)

Do you think he'll even return to read the comments? Karl, are you out there?
#11: Teresa K (fasstar) on Aug 7, 2011
That's one theory (troll). There are others. It's hard to guess what is in some people's minds and hearts. Maybe he just says what he feels and thinks. Maybe he tends to have more negative feelings than positive. Maybe he has been criticized so much by the people in his life that he it just comes easily to him, like a habit. Who knows? Karl does. Whatever the reason, we can be tolerant and understanding. Sometimes in cases like this, it's best just to let it go.

You know, two of my kids have neurological disabilities. John is very impulsive and says whatever comes to mind, whether it's the right time or place. Often inappropriate, and immature. Karie is very argumentative and critical and negative, especially if she needs fluids or rest. Meds help, sometimes, for awhile. But when her brain is not working right, she is very difficult to be around. I am always warning her staff to not take things personally when she is in one of her "moods." I also try to teach my kids to be respectful - to everyone - no matter how disrespectful the other person might be. They can feel annoyed or frustrated, but they still need to speak and act with respect.

If Karl does not have control over his compulsion to be rude, then I feel really bad for him. If he is being rude intentionally, then I also feel really bad for him. It's sad either way.

karl is so entranced by Brian's puzzles that it is impacting his life. He just wants his life back. ;)
