I still haven't found a way of logically solving this puzzle. Edge logic gives you some blank squares on C14 and a black square on C1 (seeing which are the square the 5 can occupy). Also, affirmation logic gives you a dot on C7R20 - no matter where the 6 on R20 goes, that square is a dot. So, this gives you just two places where that 6 can go: either C1-6 or C8-13.#2: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jul 21, 2011
I've seen also that the 6 on R20 can't have the 7 on R15 above it; this means that, if the 6 is at left on its row, the 7 is at right; if the 6 is at the right, the 7 occupies left side of its row. I've come to this conclusion thinking about how the 7 on R15 and the 1 on R14 work in relation to the 6 on R20. The sucessive 2s on C6-10 lead to contradictions.
After that, I couldn't solve the puzzle without guessing where the 6 goes. Line logic solves the rest.

comment 1 was nearly identical to what i was going to write#6: Jane Doe (telly) on Jul 21, 2011
for version 3 after initial line logic i used edge logic on the 3 in c19 to get 1 black pixel and then it solved out with line logic
no guessing
no guessing now, as bug said.#7: Avgvstvs (Avgvstvs) on Jul 21, 2011 [HINT]
nice puzzle sensei
I'm sorry, Tom, but now this puzzle is a bit frustrating. I think you could make it solvable while preserving it's original difficulty.#8: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Jul 21, 2011
The whole point was in the affirmation logic on R20. I still think you could maintain it and slightly change something else.
I'm sorry Tom i tried both versions and i can't get very far, nice image though.#9: Jota (jota) on Jul 22, 2011
Nice solve Tom! No guessing.#10: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Jul 22, 2011
I liked it...edge logic needed on the right edge and after that it solves itself. Nice, Tom.#11: annalivia (annalivia) on Jul 23, 2011 [SPOILER]
