Puzzle Description:

line/color logic to get all of the nonblack colors (with the exception of the green "c" which only needs a little smile logic to get)#2: Liz P (lizteach) on Jul 13, 2011 [HINT] [SPOILER]
then affirmation logic in c34/35 at r26-28 to get the rest of the black except for the handlebars at which point i think i had to guess (look more than a couple moves ahead) to finish
i would love an explanation from anyone who solved the last bit
I did Bug's line/color logic and then some smile logic on the rim of the rear wheel. I was able to solve the "C" without smile logic after that.#3: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jul 14, 2011
Then mostly line lotic on the black until I got stuck again in the handlebar area. I did some edge logic on the 4 in C7, and it was cake from there.
Nice puzzle, Louise.#4: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jul 14, 2011
I did what Liz did. A bit tricky, but fun.
i dont see how you can do edge logic on the 4 in c7#5: Liz P (lizteach) on Jul 23, 2011 [HINT]
Okay, it was really the 2 in c6, and maybe it's more affirmation logic than edge logic. Not sure. I tried it again, and I did wind up doing the smile logic on the C, I did also do a little edge logic on the left six in r26 first, so maybe that made the difference.#6: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jul 23, 2011
Here's what I did on the 4 in c7:
I got to the point where there were two spots in column 7 that the 4 could go: rows 8-12, and rows 15-18. The edge placement of the top 2 in column 6 shows that there is no way the 4 can be in rows 15-18. So the three squares from r9-11 have to be black. From there it solves easily.
i would call that affirmation logic but it definitely makes sense and this is indeed logically solvable without looking more than 2 moves ahead
thanks for your explanation lizteach
