Very well done,Scott.#3: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 26, 2011 [SPOILER]
very nice! He was Brutus in the newspaper, then changed to Bluto for the cartoon. E.C Segar created the words Goon and Jeep, which were two types of creatures from his comic. (My dad has a book all about Popeye and his development over the years)#4: Scott (mikelz777) on May 26, 2011 [SPOILER]
I love the old black and white Fleischer cartoons where Popeye is closer to how Segar presented him. Not so much the Famous Studio stuff and the stuff transitioning to Famous where Popeye was "modernized". The look and the character of the old stuff was so much better.#5: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 26, 2011

Until the description, I was convinced the picture looked like a gorilla. Heh heh, I was wondering what gorillas had to do with the title. :p
