Puzzle Description:

Kristen telling us about Ann Bankroft being married to Mel Brooks, prompted me to make this puzzle.I'm not very good at horses but it's suppose to be a man on a horse and that's a cat at top left, and it is a Mel Brooks movie. Answer is in first spoiler.

Cat Ballou.Lee Marvin was the drunk cowboy on the horse, and if anyone remembers Alex Karras,ex-lineman for the Detroit Lions was the cowboy that punched the horse.

Nice. I couldn't remember a cat in Blazing Saddles. :)
#3: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Apr 25, 2011 [SPOILER]

#6: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Apr 25, 2011
this looks like a monkey in a top hat riding a bear (or something else)
haha
#7: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Apr 25, 2011
That means you like it right bugaboo?
#8: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Apr 27, 2011 [SPOILER]
the horse does look a little like a bear but the guy is wearing a cowboy hat so that means it's a horse. Good puzzle.

But "Cat Ballou" wasn't a Mel Brooks movie.
#13: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on May 10, 2011
It wasn't? I thought it was, then who did it?
#14: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 10, 2011
According to http://www.imdb.com it was directed by Elliott Silverstein (another Jew, so I can see the confusion ;) and produced by Howard Hecht.
#15: robin kaufman (rckbird) on Jun 4, 2011 [SPOILER]
Cat Ballou wasn't Mel Brooks; there was NO horse punching
scene; Alex Karras WASN'T in it.

All those are Blazing Saddles!
#16: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on May 9, 2012 [SPOILER]
That's a horse? And a cat?

Darn.

I was sure that the title was going to be "Dances with Wolves". The animal in front looks too small to be a horse, and it looks like the person is standing beside it, with his hands across the animals back and neck.

At least I got the western connection.

#19: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Sep 27, 2016 [SPOILER]
I saw someone riding a polar bear.
So: http://www.imdb.com/video/imdb/vi2813395225?ref_=tt_pv_vi_aiv_2

And it even has Sam Elliot in a cowboy hat.

Fun puzzle, despite the teasing above.

I loved Lee Marvin's acceptance speech for his Oscar.
