Did you know that one of the band's founders, Mark Mothersbaugh, is a prolific TV/movie composer? He's done a lot of music for kids' movies and shows, including Pee-Wee's Playhouse, the Pee-Wee movies, and Rugrats.

Re John's comment in #11: I watched the Monkees TV show when I was a little kid, and MTV in my late teens, so I think it is possible to know of both. For whatever that's worth!
