Jota - could you describe the edge logic that you did? I could not find a good way to do this puzzle.

The 4 on the second row and the last 2 on 20th row.

no guessing either...edge logic and two-way logic and then near the end I had to do some alternating smile logic on C4 and C5 at the bottom. fun challenge and I was expecting pure abstraction so was surprised at the end when there was rhyme or reason to what it was supposed to be. thanks.

David - I still cannot see a way to solve this one. Can you describe what edge and two-way logic that you used? I can post a picture of where I am stuck at if that will help.

ok, went back and resolved it. not going to check whether all of these steps are necessary, just a "here's what i just did" with LL assumed in between:

- whether 2 in C20 is high or low, C19R4 is a dot
- if C13R13 is a blue, then C13R10 would have to be also, but that violates C12, so it is a dot.
- either C20R16 or C20R18 must be a blue, either way C19R18 is a dot.
- whether C4R1 or C4R3 is blue, C5R1 is a dot

Found to be logically solvable by gator.

I did it with two instances of two-way logic.
After initial LL,

2way on the top 2 in c4 - whether it's in r1 or r3, c5r1 must be white.
Then lots of line logic

2way logic on the last 1 in r12 - whether it goes in c4 or 5, r13c5 must be white.
Then line logic to finish.

tough puzzle indeed!
