Puzzle Description:

A comment from Joe in puzzle #13398 inspired me to make this puzzle.I'm trying to portray back to the old days when you had to crank a telephone to make a call and crank your Model T Ford to start it.

Fantastic puzzle! Ironic since just yesterday, my dad was trying to tell my grandson who is 10 about when cars had to be cranked to start.
#9: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Apr 17, 2011
Thx Susan,wow i bet your grandson thought that was way out there.Take your grandson to an old car cruise night this year,there's usually a couple of crank me up Model T's at them.

Not to sound like a crank, but I wish my present car had a crank! It is currently suffering from a mystery ailment where the starter won't crank about once every month. Very frustrating as it's cost me dearly to replace things that aren't helping. ;_;

I saw a show about Mack trucks recently that showed an old crank one. It had a very sensible mechanism where instead of having to crank by hand in a circle, you just pushed down on a lever with your foot.

I'm happy to be an inspiration, and nice puzzle!

I had forgotten that I'd saved this one just part way done a while back. Finally finished it. A bit tricky, got stuck a couple of times. Great image. Surprised to not see any suggestive remarks from Tom about "cranks."
