Puzzle Description:

I told my young son he could walk the dog but he had to "not let go" of the leash. The dog saw a cat and took off like a rocket, dragging my son across the yard. I ran up to my son and asked him "why didn't you let go?" "Mom", he said, "YOU told me NOT to." "Since when did you start doing what I tell you to do?!?"

ya see...kids can't win ever! I suppose you're going to blame Matt for this.

I'm not going to blame Matt! It was Toby-dog, my German Shepherd, who did it.

You have him on a leash? I thought your house was "roam free"
#8: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Mar 29, 2011
GREAT point Jota.... roam free is my life

we were living on a military base at the time so dogs had to be on leashes. here, it is roam free.

We had a dog that was half husky, and boy could he ever pull. He'd be pulling so hard that he'd be gasping for breath, and he wasn't even on a choke-chain.

If he sighted something worth chasing while my wife was "walking him", she'd promptly be taught who was doing the leading.

I used to make jokes about her flapping along on the end of the leash, but in the winter this picture was more like the reality (except our leash was red.)

Joe, that's funny (well, not for your wife who was being dragged along). I tried to put my Great Pyrennes puppy on a leash and he didn't like it so he lay down (he weighed 150 pounds) and he took his huge puppy-paws and grabbed my legs and pulled me over, then he lay on top of my legs. The neighbors saw it and came over, although they could hardly walk they were laughing so hard. Their son, in high school and on the football team, picked up the dog and said "where do you want him?"

Many years ago I was walking my dog when he was attacked by a cat -- it took me a moment or two before I dropped the leash. The cat was a new mother and thought my dog was a threat to her kittens.
