Puzzle Description:

I was taking our ducklings for a walk near the pond. It was time for them to get used to the other animals. We walked along the water drainage ditch and the smallest little bird ran out from the tall grass and hid under the white duck. Baby Q was probably 1 1/2" from tip of beak to end of tail. She looked like a little bumblebee on long legs. Baby Q was an orphaned Bobwhite Quail.

Very cute story! I am reminded of the book from when I was wee, in which an orphaned animal (I forget what kind--might even have been a duck) goes about asking all of the other adult animals if they are its mother.

I remember that question from that book, but I can't remember what the book was.

Thanks for the link, Jota. I like the way how the website explains what ages you can read this to, what ages can read the book by themselves, the pros and cons.

Isn't that neat?

Jota, it is. It's one of those sites that you are so busy looking at everything that you forget about time

Sarah, this is a great puzzle. Fun to solve AND a cute story to go with the sweet image.

Bugaboo, my belly hurts from laughing. I agree, that's one of the funniest movies ever.

JoDeen, it's good to see you back here.
