Nice. Brings back memories of camping. Can't wait!

I hate when that happens!

Same as #1,and same as #3,we have a fire in our backyard almost every weekend and we do hotdogs and marshmallows.Cool puzzle Gator.
#5: ant (agrest272) on Mar 28, 2011 [HINT]
tough one.. i got as far as i could with color logic and then did some look ahead with the 4s in R13/R14 and it solved from there

devilishly good puzzle. cool image!

fun solve! get it good and crispy :)

Not fun to me - more like torture. I needed ant's hint and still had problems and probably just lucked into the correct result. I really don;t think such difficult puzzles are fun.

i did edge logic on the 5 in column 15 and then a bunch of color logic (mainly on rows 4/5), getting some pixels in columns 9 and 12 (and a few others)
then two way logic to narrow the first black 1 in column 1 to either column 8 or 9 (due to where the first red 1 in row 2 could go)
then it just solved out with line and color logic
fantastic solve

I don't know what I did, but I started in the left corner. "Lines" just seem to make sense to me.

Gator-ifficult! I solved it like bugaboo. This puzzle is quite an exercise in color logic (at least for me!)
#12: Gator (Gator) on Mar 29, 2011 [HINT]
Yes, it is actually color/line solvable (all single row logic), but it would take me many paragraphs to detail out all of the steps (I might do that if enough people would like to see that.)

Thanks all!

Yikes, that was a hard one. I love the image. My mouth watered the entire time, once I figured out what it was. My mouth watered for a long time, because it took me awhile to get through it. :-)

I was surprised to learn that it did not require all the edge logic that I applied. Very nicely designed.

Guide to solving this one with one line/color logic:

After the initial line logic (this gets you two black and three dot cells), you can get a black cell at R4C9 with color logic by looking at column 9. You can also get two black cells in row 5 by using color logic at R5C9 and R5C12.

This lets us make R6C6 and R8C6 red in column 9. It also lets us make R2C12 and R4C12 red and R1C12 black in column 12. With line logic we also get R1C11 and R1C13 as dots.

Next look at row 2. R2C12 has to be the rightmost red cell. The first cell the left red 1 clue can be in is R2C8. So R2C10 must be black.

Now look at column 13 and focus on the red cells. No matter how you would fill in that column, R3C13 will always be red. This makes R1C13 black also. We get three more dots with line logic now.

Now focus on row 4. We now see that R4C12 has to be the rightmost red clue. This lets us make R4C10 red and R4C11 black. Now looking at row 5, we see that R5C10 cannot be red, so R5C1l must be the red cell. We can now fill out this row to the right. Do some more line logic now.

Look at column 13 again. The remaining red cell can only go in R6C13. Now look at column 12. The remaining red cell can only go in R7C12. More line logic now and there are only a few red cells left to place.

As no red cells are available now row 6 and below, looking at column 11, R2C11 must be black and R3C11 must be red.

Looking at column 9, the remaining red clue can only go in R2C9. A lot more line logic and then we only have a few more cells to place.

Looking at column 8, the remaining black clue can only go in R2C8. Line logic to finish.

All of this make sense?

Did this one again...took a bit, love Gator puzzles

nice solving

Tough idea to show. This almost does it, but I did not see it until I read the story.
#18: derby (Derby) on Jun 20, 2018 [HINT]
Very good puzzle, tough one especially for such a small size. I really enjoyed it. I started in the top right side thinking the red would help, but eventually did see the key was in the opposite corner, I did solve it with a bit of trial and error. Thanks
