I'm not happy either. I plan on being outside howling at the moon.

Sorry I didn't hop on the "supermoon" bandwagon. I always encourage people to look up but don't be dissapointed if you cannot notice any difference. Unless you've been keeping careful records of your observation through a calibrated telescope, a 2% larger apparent diameter than most full moons won't be appreciated. Please don't get sucked into any tidal force, earthquake connections. The number don't show any.

i can think of a few people who, if they bend over, will give you a "super moon"
haha!

Thanks, Brian, for the true info. Oh well (sigh) Super Moon sounded so cool.

#9: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Mar 19, 2011
i think your super, Sarah, does that count?
#10: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Mar 19, 2011
I'm sorry if I sounded too cranky. I think the supermoon is interesting as an astronomical phenomenon. And your puzzle was both fun and cute.

I also realize that you didn't mean for this to be an apocalyptic statement. However, in the greater world, we are being inundated with so many "apocalypse of the day" pronouncements, that my curmudgeonliness just spilled over. :P

#13: Jota (jota) on Mar 19, 2011
No way you made me my own Mr. B, you're SUPER!
#14: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Mar 19, 2011
Joe, you don't owe me an apology. I saw the article and thought that supermoon was a cool name. It's better to express your feelings than to keep them inside :) Plus what you said makes sense in both your comments; I understand. Plus Brian explained that it really wasn't going to be noticeable.
Yes, Tom, that counts. Thanks.
Jota said the best. You're all super.
#15: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Mar 19, 2011

The moon always looks extra large during full moon rise. But it is an optical illusion. It has to do with the comparison with mountains, trees and houses compared to stars and blackness. The brain is an amazing thing.

Found to be logically solvable by Gator.
