Very nice Kai.#2: Liz P (lizteach) on Apr 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
Really neat perspective on this portrait (I didn't recognize him until I'd worked out the lower half of his face). You've caught that wild-eyed Dali expression very nicely.#3: Byrdie (byrdie) on Apr 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
I had the moustache worked out and instantly knew who it would be. Very nice puzzle, an excellent image.#4: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Apr 22, 2011 [SPOILER]
crazy, crazy Dali'#5: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Apr 22, 2011
My parents have his autobiography/diary, and he was nuts! Among other things, he waxed philosophic about the dead fish (for a still-life) rotting on his kitchen table.
i agree with the neat perspective#6: Byrdie (byrdie) on Apr 23, 2011 [SPOILER]
I don't know how much truth there is to it but I once heard a story about Dali and his short sleeping. It was said that he would sit in a chair with a pie tin on the floor next to it. He would then hold a spoon by the end of the handle between his forefinger and thumb. As he dozed off, his hand would relax and the spoon would drop into the pie tin making a clatter. He is rumored to say that the moment of rest that occured between the spoon leaving his hand and hitting the tin was the most peaceful sleep.#7: Susan Duncan (medic25733) on Apr 23, 2011
Has anyone else ever heard this?
Excellent puzzle!#8: Teresa K (fasstar) on Apr 26, 2011
