Puzzle Description:

They don't make it any more. I read that in a How-To-Homestead book in the 70's. This is part of my yard.

Not sure I quite follow you, but I like the image!

Unlike cheeseburgers or bic lighters, they don't make land anymore. There is no "next year's model". If you want some, you have to get what is already out there.
#3: Aldege Cholette (aldege) on Mar 16, 2011
The more land the better.

How true, Aldege. We wanted lots of land. Because my son was in special-ed, we needed to live in the only school district in this area with those classes. So we have 4+ acres. Otherwise, we would have been farther (further?)out in the boonies. 50 - 100 acres would have been perfect.

Annalivia, who is Katy Scarlet?
#7: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Mar 17, 2011
Katie Scarlett O'Hara, but mainly only her Irish father called her Katie

I need to re-read that book; it's been years.

Gerald O'Hara: It will come to you, this love of the land. There's no gettin' away from it if you're Irish.

Thanks, Jota.

In #3, Aldege, you said, "The more land the better." Perhaps it would be "better" said (pun intended lol,) "The more better land the better"...or, more properly, "The more 'better land' the better."

Not all land was created equal...sigh...and what we, as stewards have done to some of the best land, especially in the United States, is deplorable. In many cases, man, in his search for oil, other natural resources, more abundant crop yields and places to cover with asphalt, accommodating cities and industry has not contributed to the healthy condition of our soil...and our water.
