Thx Sarah, yes Motley was a great dog and i have lots of wonderful memories of her which i may end up sharing with everyone through puzzles.I hope you didn't mind me using your name and puzzle as reference for this puzzle.A German shepherd/chow mix sounds cute,i bet it was a smart dog also.

I don't mind at all, Aldege. You should make more puzzles of Motley. Our dog looked like a shepherd but had the mane and blue tongue of a Chow. He was too smart. My husband and he would watch tv together. The dog would stretch out on the couch. Once, when the dog wasn't there, I sat next to my husband. The dog ran over and started whining that he had to go outside. I got up and went to open the back door. Guess what!!! The dog jumped up on the couch and stretched out - leaving no room for me. I couldn't believe it!

Sarah, cute story, smart dog,you just got to love them for their wonderful personalities.I love shephards and really love chows what beautiful dogs,i especially love huskies with their intense eyes.Motley would sit next to anyone who sat on the couch and snuggle into them, she kept squirming into you never being able to get close enough to you and begging to be petted and kissed.Excuse me i have to go have a good cry now, lol.

Great puzzle and story Aldege! I was able to persevere and solve it the same as Gator. We had a pure bred siberian for 16 years and our biggest problem was keeping him at home. When it was time to get a new dog (after 16 years without one!) we decided to get a mutt from the pound. Our Katy is a black lab, retriever and rottie cross. She weighs 70 pounds but loves to get on your lap. Don't know about thunder storms yet since we just got her. She loves the snow though.

Thx Susan, yes that's the thing with Huskies it's hard to keep them home,my daughter and her husband had a black lab/rottie cross,it was a huge dog,it weighed around 125lbs.It was the most wonderful dog with her kids though.Poor thing suffered from seizures.Glad you liked the puzzle Susan.

Excellent puzzle, Aldege. Great detail and wonderful story.

I miss my doggie too. She was an Australian shepherd mix, rescued from the pound. She had a good life with us. Not very smart but so lovable. I held her when she died. It was one of the saddest moments of my life. She also was afraid of the lightning. Thanks for sharing your memory of Motley.

I would get you a tissue, but I think they are there in your bathroom somewhere. To the right maybe?

Thx Teresa, sad story about your dog,i had to have a dog put down before because she had cancer,it was horrible to see her suffer. It's like loosing a member of your family.
