Puzzle Description:

Okay, okay. It should have been "liar", but then that would hav ebeen too easy.

tough puzzle Ron... some edge at bottom, but not sure if it takes more than 2 moves ahead...no ? from me (nice puzzle)

after all the green red and blue (and a little of the black) are solved with color logic: edge logic on the 3 in row 20 gives you a dot and that dot forms a very small "row" in which to do edge logic on the 2 in row 19; that gets you all of the bottom half
then the not so easy to see part: the 1 in row 4 either has to go in column 11 or 12 and you can dot out the rest of that row and get more solved

then another tricky bit: at least one of the remaining 1s in row 10 must go to the right (columns 16-18) or they could both go in those columns
if you put one in column 16 then that forces both of the 12s into column 4 (not possible due to the 2 in column 4) so you can dot it
if you put one in column 17 then that forces both of the 12s into column 5 (not possible due to the 1 in column 5) so you can dot it
that gives you a black in column 18

the only way i found to solve the very last part was looking at row 6 with columns 16/17
if you place one of the 2 ones from column 16 or 17 into row 6 it forces the other 2 black clues (from which ever column you didnt choose of 16 or 17) into rows 9 and 11 which causes a violation of one of the 12s so row 6/columns 16-17 are blank and it solves out

great puzzle

Thank you, Bugaboo

thx bugaboo, but your words show that one must look more than 2 moves ahead

not at all sensei
where did you think that?

After all green, red and blue, Black 3 on C10 and last 3 in C12. Then, internal edge logic on the 12s.

I was able to piece together some of Bug's ideas on my own, but I got stuck on not being able to see that the 1 in row 4 had to go into one of those two columns, so the hints helped.

I think the first hint requires a bit of a look-ahead. At least it did the way I did it (the edge logic on that 2--I think you mean the one in row 18, not 19, correct?) wasn't wasn't clear to me unless I did some trial and error a couple of steps ahead.

I enjoyed the challenge of this puzzle, regardless.

yes lizteach i meant the 3 in row 19 and the 2 in row 18
(i knew the 3 was the lowest row with a clue in it and the 2 was the row above that and i knew the puzzle was a 20x20 so having that blank row at the bottom messed me up) haha

as far as looking ahead however i dont think thats the case

if you do edge logic on that 2 (by filling in all the black squares and dots that are immediately connected with it as a result of placing it there then you get an error

Cute picture. I guess I logically guessed, because it took me no time at all.
