Anticipation. The world is his oyster. This first step could lead to fame, fortune, his wildest dreams coming true. Or, it could just lead to him falling off a cliff, dyng an agonizingly slow, lonely death in the bottom of a ravine with no one around. Only the birds of prey circling above, the coyotes howling at night and the snakes basking on the rocks in the warmth of the sun to keep him company. That is what the expression on his face says to me.
