This one is dedicated to my father-in-law, who passed away on the day it was created.#2: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 17, 2011
This one is a bit of a poser. It may be that you'll be looking in just the right places and whiz right through it, but I think that probably won't happen too often. There's surprisingly little in the way of advanced logic. But there's surely some intricate color logic.#3: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 17, 2011 [HINT]
This was started 5 months ago. I modified it as I solved it for the first time to make it solvable. Then I went back to try to document how I did it and got stuck. "But I just did it!!"
Two months later, I solved it again with an AHA! and started the tutorial. Then I got stuck halfway through. Again.
After banging my head on it for a week, it got filed under "what am I, an idiot?"
Coming back to it last night, the next step jumped right out at me. So here's the final tutorial: http://infrapinklizzard.deviantart.com/art/Logic-12001-213632639

Sorry to hear about your father-in-law Joe,cool puzzle.#8: Liz P (lizteach) on Jun 18, 2011
Very nice. I looked at your tutorial after I solved, and I did it the same way (or similar). The part I got the most stuck on was the logic in the fourth diagram down.#9: Jota (jota) on Jun 18, 2011 [HINT]
Sorry about your father-in-law. I like the idea of dedicating the puzzle to him.

First of all, I'm sorry for your loss, and your wife's. This is a sad time to lose one's Dad.#11: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jun 19, 2011
Second, I also got stuck, and when I checked your notes, I realized it really wasn't as tricky as it seemed at first, just need to know where to look. Thanks for showing your tutorial.
Third, I think this is an awesome puzzle. Cool image and fun description. "prisoner in a webpbn factory" - that would be your mind. I guess a lot of us get stuck there now and then. :-D
Teresa - I guess that's why it seems so crowded in here. ;)#12: Edith Clark (eclark) on Sep 5, 2011
Thanks, everyone.
I usually don't do puzzles this big so maybe I shouldn't comment. I did like it and am proud I solved it but I did guess a time or two, though I was often stuck for days (would just open it and not see anything so close it again) and then would see some color logic I had overlooked. If there weren't so many other puzzles left to do, I'd try it again and see if I could use only logic. I like the description under it (that you get after you solve).#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Sep 6, 2011
Congratulations, Edith! It took me a long time to solve it, even being the one who made it...#14: Edith Clark (eclark) on Sep 6, 2011
And all comments are appreciated. Nice ones even more so! :)
Now I feel better, Joe. I like a challenge -- as long as I have something that is less of a challenge to work on when I need to feel a sense of accomplishment and the original challenge is getting me down.#15: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Jun 9, 2013

For about 90% of the solve, I thought it was a Klein bottle!#22: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 15, 2022
that would certainly be in the realm of possibility, for Joe!#23: Ailsa Hebert (bazette3) on Aug 1, 2022
I got into solving this puzzle without looking to see who had created it.. Then I got to a certain point and looked and said to myself, "I should have know!" As usual....an awesome puzzle.....totally enjoyed the solve! Thanks!
