Don you think someone out there is wishing for a cold place so they can have a warm drink?
#2: BlackCat (BlackCat) on Jan 5, 2011
Tough to see. Nice thought.
#3: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jan 5, 2011

#4: Kylie :) (misty) on Jan 5, 2011
It was a hot day in Sydney... funny 'cause I'm kind of missing winter. Fun puzzle!

Every picture tells a story don't it?

another gator puzzle :)
the top 5 was tricky
#7: Gator (Gator) on Jan 6, 2011 [HINT]
Here are some hints for the more difficult parts:

After some initial line solving, look at row 9. No matter how row 9 is filled in, R9C14 has to be part of a 2 clue (could be either one), so R9C15 has to be black. Some more line logic.

Next look at column 11. R9C11 will always be a dot no matter how column 11 is filled in. This enables us to make R9C17, R9C18, and R9C20 black.

The rest solves with easier line logic.

That's Gator at his best!

Good stuff!

Thanks all!
#14: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 17, 2011 [HINT]
Re-solving this tonight, I found that all I needed was edge logic on the 5 in r1 (with concomitant line logic) followed by edge logic on the 3 in r1.

Still a fun solve -- and now it's warm enough to have that drink!
#15: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jul 17, 2011
with all of the puzzles out there you are re-solving some?
#16: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jul 17, 2011
I must say that I am disappointed with the quality of most of the recent puzzles and have gotten tired of picking through to find good ones. So I go back to some of the tried and true.

That, and my stress level is very high at the moment, so I tend to have little patience with crap.

#17: Jota (jota) on Jul 17, 2011
I Agree with you Joe!!!
#18: bugaboo (bugaboo) on Jul 17, 2011
i agree with you as well lizzard

jota i dont believe you though
haha
#19: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Jul 18, 2011
crap is in the nose of the beholder
#20: Bryan (Cyclone) on Jan 2, 2014 [HINT]
There's a sneaky dot in here. In C11, you eventually get two squares filled in that are four squares apart with the underside of the lower filled square being false. In this 2,1,2 clueset, you cannot make the middle of the three empty squares be true in a valid solution.

This clue is crucial to solving the right side of R9. While it's not over from there, it does unlock the puzzle.

fun puzz, Gator, very nice!
#22: Carol Brand (KarylAnn) on Sep 13, 2017
This one was in my saved puzzles; figured it was about time to complete it! A tough, fun puzzle with an easily recognizable rewarding picture.
#23: Gator (gator) on Sep 13, 2017
Thanks Carol
#24: John Macdonald (perlwolf) on Sep 14, 2017
Right now, there are lots of people who are someplace warm that are wishing they were not in a hurricane target area.
