Puzzle Description:

I'm going to try to make a series out of this over time. The idea is to solve the puzzle, then figure out the saying contained in the puzzle, just like the show Classic Concentration in the 1980s. What do you think this rebus says? Comment please, and also feel free to create your own rebus to add to the series with the next in number.

This has a unique solution, and I'll give you a hint: the rebus in the puzzle represents a famous musician. I'll give another hint if no one has it after a day or two. There are four total items to find in the puzzle that form the final rebus. I hope this makes sense!

(I've edited to change some colours. Hopefully this makes it easier, I had a hard time myself and saw the much guessing indicator.)

Okie, given it one more try. Now I see that it tells you when it's down to logic alone, will keep that in mind in future puzzle-making attempts. Wish I could use those two rows, but I'll leave them be.

And yeah, I decided to just put my name in, looks better than "Private".

Tested the new version in a solver BTW. Solved without assistance. I'll explain my change later.

what colors???

Colours are gone now.

Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky.

Nope. The idea is to read the clues in the rebus; for instance, pictures of a rat and a woman with a plus sign between them mean the word "rather" ("rat" plus "her").

"Page"+E+Key+Sun= Pyotr Il'yich Tchaikovsky

I'm still confused...the piece of paper is actually a document of some type. That's probably the hardest part of the puzzle to identify in the person's name, in fact, and I think any rebus using a piece of paper will be left to whatever type of paper it is. For example, without giving away my use, "Paper Mache" and "Congressional Page" are two different words used for the same image.

Further, each line of the puzzle (two images per line) represents one of the two names; they aren't simply clues to who the person is. See 11658, which Travis has already guessed correctly, for another example.

Also, the lower left isn't a key. Maybe that one is bad, but I didn't know a lot of ways to draw one and my diagonal version wasn't solvable. =)

Time for the extra hint, I've decided. It's a country music legend.

Yup. =D

Ah! Good for Bugaboo.

I finally figured out the Will + E, but I could not see the nail until I read Bugaboo's comment.

Great fun, Brian. I solved it after you made the changes, and enjoyed it a lot.

I'm happy that you made this type of puzzle. I loved that show. I thought about doing a puzzle like this before but didn't come up with anything. Hope there are lots more.
Good job Bugaboo!
