I found this puzzle QUITE enjoyable and maddening at the same time. I've given it a 5 in difficulty because it did challenge me, and I had to use some edge technique solving to solve it (not guessing as far as I'm concerned if done properly), but I found it quite enjoyable.

I love hanging up with a smile. Very nice image.

Remember how the cord always used to get twisted up? I would have to let the receiver dangle to unwind itself every once in a while.

Do you know that you could place calls without rotating the dial? If you clicked the hang-up cradle quickly, it would pulse, e.g click-click-click (pause) click (pause) click-click-click-click would dial 314. Zero was ten clicks.

And it's funny how we still say "dial" even though no one has dialed for 20 or 30 years, and millenials never have.

My mum spent most of her working years in communications. She started out as an operator for Bell Canada, married my father and then started out at Northern Telecom making these phones. She then went on to work on making communication products for airlines.

I've followed in her footsteps but I can't seem to make my way out of the call centre. (I did spend a few years in tech support for BlackBerry so that's something I suppose.)

Is there an app for your cell phone that allows you to use it as a rotary? If it doesn't exist yet, someone should make it.

...and when I'm online completing new client intake, I have to "fill in" radio dials, lol.
