Sally and Telly, I find your comment interesting. I am 100% heterosexual, but I have no problem in applying the attribute "sexy" to a woman. If I think a person is "sexy" that means that I think the person has sex appeal (ie, nice features, proportionate healthy body, good eye contact, the "it" factor, whatever that is).#6: Sallie Wilbur (sarriemom) on Nov 17, 2010
Now, when I see a man like Randy Travis, and I say, "He is soooooooo sexy!" then I am talking about sexual attraction. :-) That's different from just plain old sexy.
When I say that I think Sade is sexy, that means that I am looking at her from a man's perspective. If I were a man, I would find her sexually attractive. As a woman, I can say I think she is sexy.
This is all very interesting from a psychology point of view. What makes one person sexy and another person not sexy. The "it" factor? What is that?
I should have been more specific about my "ditto". Nice puzzle and I do think she's pretty/sexy. She might be on a list if I made one up -- it hadn't occurred to me to come up with my own list of the sexiest music artists and I've now deliberately not looked at the list so as to better enjoy the puzzles as you create them! I agree that it's possible to be 100% hetero and still think another woman is sexy without being sexually attracted to her. I also agree about the psychology of it being very interesting. I have some days/times where I feel sexy and many more when I don't (blame that on being at home with small children all day).
