Puzzle Description:

Turkey - served in more modern times at Thanksgiving (or sometimes called "Turkey Day") in the United States and other countries. So why Eel? From Wiki: "Squanto, a Patuxet Native American who resided with the Wampanoag tribe, taught the Pilgrims how to catch eel and grow corn and served as an interpreter for them."

My daughter came home the other day and was talking about how they had eel at the first thanksgiving. I had to look it up...

Love eel (unagi) as sushi. I'd prefer sushi to turkey for Thanksgiving!

Great solve.

Thanks all!

#4 - Eel sushi is the favorite food of both of my daughters. I would also have sushi over turkey. :)

Turkey is one of my "happy foods." Fun puzzle, Gator.

I've come back to this puzle three times now. I have not looked at the spoilers.I have the right seven columns done and the 7th row done. Can anyone give me a hint as to where to go? I wanna go home. I'm tired and I wanna go to beds. I had a little drink about an hour ago and it went right to my head. Yeesh.
#10: Gator (Gator) on Nov 18, 2010 [HINT]
I would think you need to look at column 2. R8C2 is a forced white space cell. R6C2 is one of the 1 clues in column 2, but which one? If it is the lowest one, then R9C2 would have to be part of the 3 clue, but the 3 clue cannot fit there. So R6C2 must either be the top or middle 1 clue. In either case, R9C2 would also be a 1 clue, and therefore R8C2 is a dot.
