I suppose I considered it a warning for anybody who checks comments before solving (as I do), but an explanation would probably be more useful (and would seem less snarky).

There is also a topic in the Forum (tab on the left) that will give suggestions that will please puzzlers and get better ratings and positive comments. Look for Topic #6: What do you like in a puzzle?
