Puzzle Description:

Woodlouse - specifically the genus Armadillidium. Or more commonly known as a "pill bug" or "roly-poly"

Good puzzle. ALthough, they only look like this for a second, then they are kind of flatter!

nice image
fairly easy solve as it flowed nicely
#3: Liz P (Lizteach) on Aug 26, 2010 [SPOILER]
I like the bug puzzles. I've also heard these called "potato bugs." Not an insect but a crustacean.

Eww!
#5: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Aug 26, 2010
thanks for a puzzle i could solve :)
#6: Trish (tryingmysoul) on Aug 27, 2010
Another one of yours I've solved. Am I getting better or are you a humanitarian?
#7: Tom O'Connell (sensei69) on Aug 27, 2010
Trish... the other shoe will drop soon :D
#8: Gator (Gator) on Aug 27, 2010
Trish - maybe a little of both. I did make this one a little easier than most puzzles I create.

I too enjoyed this one ... I remember playing with them as a child with my brother. We would get them to roll up and then gently roll them along.

I like the way the solve on this one flowed and I think the symetry is cool.

Armadillidium? LOL I haven't seen one since I was a kid.

Fun little puzzle.
#13: Petra Lassen (Stjarna) on Sep 5, 2010 [SPOILER]
Did you know they have 14 legs? They're kind of hard to count though. They won't stay still.
#14: Sarah Andrews (sarah) on Oct 29, 2010
great puzzle. never knew the real name.
#15: Gator (Gator) on Oct 29, 2010
Thanks all.
#16: Diana W (aeris) on Jan 13, 2011 [SPOILER]
The diagonal symmetry made this one fun to solve.
#17: Gator (Gator) on Jan 14, 2011
Thanks.

I'm stuck and can't see where it flows nicely. Is there some advanced logic in this one? Thanks Gator I got it now... not sure how I missed it before.
#19: Gator (Gator) on May 9, 2011 [HINT]
There is not advanced logic for this one, but there is some "this cell could either be part of a 2 clue or a 3 clue, so this other cell must be filled in" kind of logic.

For example, at some point in column 2, you should have R8C2 a dot and R9C2 black. The clues in that column are 4 2. R9C2 is either part of the 4 clue or the 2 clue. In either case, R10C2 would be black.

Also pay attention to what happens in column 4 and row 12.

I hope this helps.

I really like these diagonal-symmetry Gator puzzles.
#21: Gator (gator) on Oct 14, 2011
Thanks Kristen.

Trying to solve all my saved puzzles. It's hard to pickup and start again; especially if you come across an error. I had to clear it all and start again. Great puzzle Gator. Didn't realize a pill bug was also a woodlouse. Learn something new everyday!
#23: Gator (gator) on Apr 19, 2012
Thanks!

Did it...loved the puzzle and loved the comments, Gator!
