I found this site because I really liked the paint-by-number setup while going through puzzle books.

The forums/comments indicate that no one has been around here for the past 10 years or so, but I am thoroughly enjoying myself anyways :)

There are plenty of people here, and they are commenting. It is possible that you are just looking at old puzzles and comments (which is fine!)

Yep, I totally know that now! I WAS primarily using the older puzzles and wondered if there were newer ones. Admittedly, I was smoking pot when I finally decided to investigate this idea and made the original post. It is kind of embarrassing how I allowed the first page of 2004 forum posts to guide my whole assessment in that state of mind. SMH lol oh well. Cheers!

The HOME page lists featured, new, and recovered (from a data crash). I'm trying to do puzzles based on daily celebrations....I'll be working on this for years!

Hi Corrine. I meant to respond to you earlier and then hit "Next topic" without thinking.

Probably what's been said earlier, being a new user you're likely going through lower numbered puzzles. Most of the steady, active users have been here awhile and are working on higher numbered puzzles.

When I started out, I set my search to 10x10 and did those puzzles, at least all there were at the time, first. Then moved on to 20x20. I did this so I could work on grasping some of the concepts behind solving. After I'd done this for awhile, I quit and just started doing whatever the next lowest number puzzle to come up in the search was.

It's been some time since I looked at the Users list but I think there might be a last logon date there and you can sort on that column. You'll best see recent activity there. Also, most of us have our forum search set up to topics with new comments that we've completed only. We'll see people like you comment on the lower number puzzles and might even respond. Since you might not see higher numbered puzzles yet, you probably won't see comments being added to those puzzles.

Corrine, if you select Comments on all topics and then click Create Date twice, the comments will sort newest to oldest and you can see the recent ones.

Hi friends. I'm still here, just not much of a poster. Most forums are quiet in this era I think. They're still used, just filled with lurkers.

Full-time lurker, occasional poster. Just wanted to say thanks for checking in Abbey, so that the former lack of response to your post didn't further support any developing lurker-saturated stigma. :)

Val, might I toss in a suggestion of auto-sorting the forum page by most-recent-date instead of its current default?

Thanks Yonah! I definitely think the forum needs some easier way for people to find current discussions. I'll add that to the list!
