On a puzzle site? Seriously? What an absolutely bizarre forum for your religious beliefs. You have no other outlet to prosthelytize?

I would like to introduce you to the church of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. (FSM) May you be touched by his noodly appendage!

YOU'RE WELCOME.

wow!

lorispad,
This is far from the only puzzle that has included some form of prostletizing. Check out recent puzzle 8411 and the epic battle of 3408.

As an atheist, I have no issue with religious puzzles and I'm not bothered by the ensuing comments, so long as they're respectful of other belief systems (like 3408 wasn't).

But as a puzzle, this one is really REALLY boring.

Really, Tom? I think it's weird....a bit fanatical.....and chock full of comedy potential.

I won't even get into what motivated this person to post, but, come on, at least post a good puzzle.

:)

Did you ever wonder if anyone would tell you if you were losing it? Well, you're losing it.
#10: Billie Patterson (bpat) on Apr 20, 2010
Folks, this is a kid doing these puzzles. If I remember correctly, she's still in elementary or junior high school.
#11: Amanda French (Amandarose_20) on Apr 20, 2010
Hanna, I loved it! Thanks!
#12: Leigh Cousins (pog) on Apr 20, 2010
Not a puzzle and not welcome by all but fellow followers of the homoerotic death cult.
#13: Amanda French (Amandarose_20) on Apr 20, 2010 [SPOILER]
*sigh* really guys? Hanna was brave enough to make the puzzle and put it out there for all. If you are not comfortable with these kind of puzzles, stay away from the ones with JESUS in the title! To be completely honest, most of your names don't ring a bell, which tells me you guys don't have a lot of GREAT puzzles out there either! If Gator wants to jump on and critic a puzzle and it's theory...by all means...but you guys need to give poor Hanna a break.

first amendment ftw, deal with it suckas! ;)

Puzzles with religious themes are welcome here. I've posted a few with Christian or Jewish themes myself. (I'm neither a Christian nor a Jew, but many of my friends and relatives are one or the other.)

I have to agree to a degree with Amanda. If you don't want to be confronted with religious themes, then why in blazes are you solving a puzzle named "JESUS LOVES YOU"? Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but try to keep your shirts on.
#16: Tom Siebert (tsiebert) on Apr 20, 2010
ant,
What does your version of "ftw" mean? It's a new one to me and I found a few meanings, none of which sound right to this usage.

Cindiokeeza,
Believe it or not, I have to side with Hanna, Amanda, et al on this one. The theme is welcome, as would be a picture of the Flying Spaghetti Monster should you choose to submit one. My religious beliefs are certainly closer to yours, but they're entitled to theirs, and there's no reason to pick a fight simply because your beliefs differ.

[7/8/2014 edit: Looking in on some old conversations for comments I never saw before. Who's Cindiokeeza?]

Puzzle 3408 was a celebration of atheism and a handful of very sanctimonious zealots immediately posted with very insulting comments. The battle erupted in earnest when I entered the fray to counter them, but it was their disrespect for the artist and puzzle theme that began it all.

In this case, are your comments so very different from theirs?
#17: ant (agrest272) on Apr 20, 2010
ftw = for the win. best definition I can find is:

An enthusiastic emphasis to the end of a comment, message, or post. Sometimes genuine, but often sarcastic.
#18: Tom Siebert (tsiebert) on Apr 20, 2010
Okay, I wasn't sure how it fit, but that was one of the choices. The other, that I'll not repeat here, made even less sense.
#19: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Aug 24, 2011 [SPOILER]
Egad, I read about the first third of the comments for 3408. Is that the same Adam who leaves such venomous comments on so many puzzles? Did the discussion in puzzle 3408 cause him to snap, and throw away his espoused belief in Christian teachings?

I found this puzzle to be boring, but I have created puzzles about topics that interest me, so I can't expect others not to do the same.

Hanna thanks for the puzzle! and yes, sanane samanye, Jesus does love you! Hanna, here's an idea for a puzzle: http://i.embpersons.com/cute/org/283b5b4f31c8.jpg

I wish more people would share their personal belief systems on this web site. Show us what *you* hold sacred - I promise I won't bash you over the head for believing differently than I do! Heck, I can even tolerate #12 :-)

Perhaps you could have made this only 15 across instead of leaving so much unnecessary white space.
