Puzzle Description:

"pi" is an irrational number (can't be expressed as a ratio between two integers. "i" is not a real number. It is the square root of -1 and is called an imaginary number.

Very clever!

I see the "i" and the "pi" but I don't get the overall theme of the puzzle. What is going on in this puzzle?
#3: Ugo (ugo) on Dec 5, 2009 [SPOILER]
The "i" tells "pi to "Be rational!"
"Pi" tells "i" to "Get real!"

I got the joke, but I just couldn't tell from the background what was going on. I see now that each has a speech bubble with their phrase in it. Got it.

Thanks for your entry!
I now understand that I am imaginary and peeing is irrational (couldn't resist it).

for those that don't get jota's comment.. they pronounce pi 'pee' outside america ;)

Rhymes with "Si"? Si!

Fun puzzle to solve.

:-D

I thought pi was 22/7, therefore rational. Then again, my math days are long gone...

22/7 is an approximation of pi (rounded up)

I don't understand it, but it was a fun solve.
