I'd forgotten Arlo had posted this puzzle. Neat to look back at. "Mr Superdude" used to be important in Arlo's fantasy life. I actually sewed a blue superhero cape so Arlo could be Mr Superdude last Halloween. But it's been many months since Arlo decided he was done with Mr Superdude. He said Mr Superdude was boring because he had so many superpowers that he could do anything, and that was just stupid. In 1900, Alice was the eleventh most popular girl's name. In 2000, around when Arlo was born, it ranked as number 426. So, though Arlos are pretty rare, finding an Alice in his age group is no easy task either.
Doesn't have any friends named Janis either.

I've actually only seen him perform once. After we picked the name but before the baby was born, we heard Arlo Guthrie would be performing in town, so naturally we had to go take a look. We liked the show OK, but our son isn't named after him. We just like the name, and don't particularly mind if the name brings Arlo Guthrie to mind for many people.
