I had no trouble solving this one using simple line logic. I just kept going vertically and horizontally, and there was always one more place I could keep on moving forward. I like the end result, too! I didn't see what it was until the very end.

Found to be logically solvable by jan.

Good Puzzle. I had to back up from my PC to see the image. I wonder what that says about my vision?

Nice puzzle. I have to admit, I got stuck early on. Meg, your hint was very helpful. I had missed one little clue, and when I went line by line, I found it, then it solved nicely.

when i got stuck i used edge logic over on the left and it kicked me back in gear. i have a hard time with edge logic sometimes because it feels too much like guessing...especially when i'm tired.

I tend to use edge logic as it is my favorite kind. I don't think this one required it though. I could be wrong...

one of your "easier" puzzles, Gator.

Good job Gator! Edge logic required.
#10: Gator (gator) on Dec 18, 2011 [HINT]
Yep, definitely edge logic. I just resolved this one. Thanks!
#11: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 19, 2013 [HINT]
This one is now marked "line logic only". I know I used edge logic when I solved it - I must go back and see where I missed the LL.

Well I cannot find any line logic after ~1/3 done. At the point where it looks like you have an oddly stretched New York and a Vermont and Long Island displaced to the west.

A little edge logic on the 5 in r2 is all that's needed at that point, tho.

whether the black at C15R6 is part of the 4 clue or the second 2 clue, C10R6 will always be black.
#13: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on May 20, 2013
That does it.
#14: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on May 20, 2013
i like to call that "gator logic", it's a subset of line logic...funny that it wasn't intentional this time.
#15: Gator (gator) on Jun 12, 2013
I just went back and checked the original design I did for this, and I had it as line logic only. Seems that I missed that when I resolved it in 2011. Thanks for the catch David!
#16: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jun 13, 2013
no problem gator, thank YOU for the puzzle.
#17: Bryan (Cyclone) on Dec 29, 2013 [HINT]
I actually didn't see the line logic in this one. Did edge logic on the left.

Fun

I enjoyed doing this puzzle, and I used to do calligraphy so I liked the image. I still haven't figured out why some people think that the puzzles that I find hard are simple, while I found this one pretty easy and it hard a tougher rating than many that I had struggled over!

Very nice.
