Puzzle Description:

It's ..............a spaghetti tree! Happy April Fool's Day!!!! The spaghetti tree was a fictitious tree and the subject of a 3-minute spoof report on the Swiss spaghetti harvest by the BBC current affairs programme Panorama. An estimated 8 million people watched the programme on April 1, 1957 and hundreds phoned in the following day to question the authenticity of the story, or ask for more information about spaghetti cultivation and how they could grow their own spaghetti trees.

LOL, interesting puzzle. Very fun to solve, due to its difficulty.

Like everything else in the world, the spoof video is on YouTube.

Thank you for the link, Laura!

Very fun puzzle. I thought it was a chocolate fountain for most of the puzzle. Thanks

Interesting puzzle and a task to solve, though completely doable with line logic. Fun at the outcome. The video link was fun too.

While I was making the puzzle, I couldn't figure out for the life of me what was so "yummy" about a swamp tree.

Like #6, I thought at first that it was a chocolate fountain - very yummy but nearly ruined my daughter's wedding gown. Then I decided it must be a jelly fish and that the creator must have a very strange palete!
Very fun puzzle.

As a child, we had a music book with the song, "On the Top of Spaghetti" to the tune of "On Top of Old Smokey." The meatball in the song rolled off the plate, onto the floor, out the door, and grew into a spaghetti bush. I wonder if that was inspired by the Swiss harvest?

I'm growing "pasta beans" in my garden. I started them late in the season, so I don't think I'll be able to harvest any beans from them this year. But I have some more seeds, so I will try again next year. Here's a picture -- it really looks a little like pasta growing on a vine:

Brenda -- We sang that song too, when I was a kid. Fun!

Pasta beans look cool!

Enjoyed this puzzle. When I looked at the picture of pasta beans, I thought, "we call those yellow wax beans."
