Puzzle Description:

Scrabble! In summer time I played as many as 6 games per day!

One of my favorites too!

www.rackaroo.com is a good free Scrabble site. Look for me under SATMan!! Or, you can play on Pogo.

Thanks for participating again in the WC!

I am having some difficulty solving this puzzle, as I keep getting "unresponsive script" error messages. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it only me? This is the only puzzle it's happening with, although I did have a similar problem while solving a puzzle I created but did not publish, because I thought maybe there was a glitch in how that puzzle was created. I already posted a message about it for Jan to look at, but it would be nice to know if others the same experience with this puzzle.
#5: Deana L (ffswife) on Mar 30, 2009
Had the same problem with script errors. Gave up

Not on this end, best bet is Jan.

Well, I got through it using IE browser, with some slowness, but no error messages. What a fun puzzle. I love this game too. Very cleverly done!

Deana, would you please post a comment on Forum Topic Webpbn 3.0 #145? That way Jan will know it's not just my computer. Thanks.

I continued to get an error, until finally I didn't resize it and then I didn't get the error and was able to solve it. But this last time I did save it frequently.

Marshall, could you post that comment on Forum Topic #145? I think that will help Jan fix the bug. Thanks.
#11: Jota (jota) on Apr 1, 2009
And please, stop ignoring my questions!

The hangup is caused by the error checking script on large puzzles. If you click on options and turn off error checking for the puzzle, you shouldn't hangup any more.
#13: Web Paint-By-Number Robot (webpbn) on Apr 27, 2009
Found to be logically solvable by jan.
#14: Jan Wolter (jan) on Apr 27, 2009
Rob is correct about the hangup problem. Puzzles with long lines with lots of clue numbers can overwhelm the error checker, causing it to run extremely slowly. It will always come back from the hang ... eventually.

You can completely avoid these problems by turning off the error checking. (Use the "Options" button to do this.)

I have some new technology that might make it possible to fix this problem for some browsers at least. Maybe I'll get around to that someday.

I just did this one again, using Google Chrome, no problem!

As a random note, the site in comment #2 no longer functions. Lawyers came after them and the site decided to pull the game. They apparently are still updating the game for the iPhone however.

Thanks all for the notes about slowdown. I wondered if it was me. Looks like the combo of colors and a wide grid make trouble in some columns. Glad I got through it, though. It's well done!

The moderate lookahead is for the smile logic for the second greens from the left.
