There are definately multiple solutions to this.

I can't get much beyond half way to the final picture.

I fixed it...now try...

Now there is just one solution, and it's really really easy to find.

It's hard to find the middle path - solvable but challenging. This puzzle is at least reasonably good looking.

Very easy. Try making your puzzles non-symmetrical.

You mean caterpillar, not worm.
#6: Mavis (Lilpudn) on Sep 6, 2008 [SPOILER]
I'm sure you mean caterpillar but that would have given it away.
#7: Adam Nielson (monkeyboy) on Oct 31, 2008 [SPOILER]
"Adult Worm" gave it away just as much as "adult caterpillar" would have.
#8: Byrdie (byrdie) on Mar 7, 2009 [SPOILER]
It could be a moth.

still looks like a butterfly in 2010 :)

Coloquially, worm is general enough that it is acceptable to call a caterpillar a worm. After all, zandperl, you knew what he meant, didn't you?

Good image.

From chemistry (previous puzzle for today's walk down memory lane) to biology. Thanks for the puzzle
