So sorry to hear about that, Teresa. Has the house been rebuilt since then?
#4: Teresa K (fasstar) on Dec 29, 2008
Well, we lived with a big hole in the house for six weeks, waiting for the insurance company to do something (it was boarded up). Then a reporter did a front page story (see link). The next day the insurance company got started, and in three days it was as good as new. You can't tell anything happened.

You are an amazing woman, God bless you and yours.

Thank you, Jota. I have been blessed many times over.

That is an amazing story and a wonderful picture to boot.

It is quite a story, isn't it? But I have an even more amazing story to share, but I can't share it until I have a puzzle to go with it.

excellent image. boy! what a story. you are so blessed, teresa and i am so thankful you shared this story and the message. i was in a rollover accident on cave of the winds road in manitou springs (a winding road on a cliff) as a passenger in a car driven by a drunk driver. the driver passed out and was heading off the road and when i shouted his name, he woke up, slammed on the brakes, and the car (a dodge raider) rolled several times downhill. the driver wasn't wearing a seatbelt. thank God for both of us, i was. all of the windows burst out on impact and i was the only thing keeping him in the car. he slammed against me each time the car rolled (my back's jacked up as a result). when the car stopped rolling, we crawled out. he fell on the ground and passed out. i walked back up the dark mountain road to the wedding reception where i'd been, in shock, bleeding from both temples, glass in my hair, clothes shredded and wearing only one high-heeled shoe. couldn't move any part of my body the next day or two (head, neck, limbs). i stand crooked to this day as a result. these days i'm much more careful about the condition of the driver whenever i'm a passenger in a vehicle. if they're not straight, i walk.

Wow. I'm glad you survived to tell your story, Linda.

I couldn't tell what the horizontal shape was meant to be. (I consulted The Google.) If you remove the black squares in R9C13 and R9C15, it looks more key-like, but I don't know if that would adversely affect the solve. Either way, it probably doesn't matter much, after 10 years.

A harrowing experience; I can't bring myself to read the article a second time. Yikes!
