Puzzle Description:
The girls have talked a boy into holding the rope so they can jump rope.

Yor second guess is correct, Babarann. His name is Paul and he lives next door. After they are done jumping rope, they are going to play "House" and Paul will play the part of Dad, of course. He goes along with their girly games in hopes of getting a little kiss from the one who plays the role of Mom. (There I go, obsessed with kissing again.)
