Puzzle Description:

That's your reflection in the monitor, as you scrutinize those tiny numbers in a big color puzzle. Aren't you a little too close to the screen?

Isn't that edge logic? Trying it out in 1 of those positions and seeing if it works?
#6: m2 (mercymercy) on Dec 15, 2008
I didn't need any edge logic.

Thank you how very kind of you ;)

Neat puzzle. What is edge logic? Even if you use whatever it is, isn't that solving with logic? Anyway, it is a fun the way you turned the image back on the solver.

Thanks, Agnes. Actually, I think is was two-way logic rather than edge logic, according to the info Jan posted on how to solve puzzles (see FAQ link on left). It's all plain logic to me though. What we call it doesn't really matter to me. I just make sure it's solvable by the average "user" by working it myself before I publish.

I described a variety of fancy puzzle-solving techniques on this page:

http://webpbn.com/solving.cgi

I invented names for them, which are frequently used in the forums here, but don't really have any more universal significance.

Thanks for the link, Jan. That is the page I was referring to. Very helpful. I didn't know what "smile logic" was until I read that. Thanks for sharing all your logic tricks with us and for arranging all the information so, um, logically on this website. You are The Master of paint by number, IMHO

that's definitely my eye as i try to distinguish between green and blue! great puzzle!
#14: Teresa K (fasstar) on Jun 8, 2010
LOL, Linda. That's why I try to create more B&W, cuz I know I'm not the only one who has trouble with the colors.

Nice eye! I have trouble with blue and black and have to put a stronger pair of glasses over my glasses and even then have to get close to the screen. My husbnad says I should just do the B&W ones.

I find it helpful that you can "point" to a clue and the number and color will appear in a text box.

Nice puzzle, interesting interpretation.

My laptop screen is non-glare, so no reflections. ;)

This puzzle is completely solvable with only line logic.
#18: Teresa K (fasstar) on Feb 27, 2011 [SPOILER]
If that's not your reflection, then WHO IS watching you, Joe? Oh, that's me! :-D

Way back then, I thought this was a clever idea. Oh sure. How many other eyeball images have been puzzled? :-)

Nice line logic solvable puzzle Teresa.
#20: JoDeen Mozena (ozymoe) on Dec 29, 2011
Simple line logic...very nice fun puz, T!

Ooo, My eyes look great! But I never realized how pixelated they were. Mirrors never showed them like that... Lol.
