Puzzle Description:

snake plant

#1: Synthia McBride (synthia) on Nov 26, 2008 [SPOILER]

I have a snake plant that is over 35 years old. I'm not sure why I felt compelled to write this; but there you go.

I am not familiar with this object (avoiding spoiler) but this was a fun puzzle to solve.

I think it's a type of succulent. It is very easy to grow or as my grandmother (who gave me the plant) used to say: It is very hard to kill. Some people call it a "mother-in-law's tongue."

Hmm, I think I've heard the "mother-in-law's tounge" name before.

I'm not great with plants, really. Mostly because I'm only willing to put in an effort if it's something I can eat, eventually.

Officially it's called a sanseveria, In English it's similar I believe. In translation you'll get ' womens tongues'.

I was thinking it was a cup of coffee, but then again, I drink so much of the stuff that it has to be green to wake ME up. Cute puzzle.

Hmmm...at first I thought it was going to be a cup of coffee too...after I finished, before I looked at the solution title (I always try to see what I think it looks like before I look at the description) I thought it might be a ghoulish hand complete with a black Gothic fingerless glove! lol

I actually had been reading some HP Lovecraft-inspired stories just before I started this puzzle, so I was thinking "tentacles" with the green and all, and getting a mite creeped out.

"Old Ones Coffee" is NOT something you want to wake up to, believe me. "We've replaced these diners usual coffee with Cthulu Crystals... let's see if anyone notices..."

Very nice. I enjoyed the challenge.
