Puzzle Description:

My mom is addicted to Tetris, and now she's amazing at it and can beat anyone in my family at it, but she just didn't really understand it at first.

I would bet that many pbn people also like tetris!

Those are some very "unusual" piece shapes/colors. I have never seen some of them before.

Adam, all the shapes are correct, but I didn't have enough unique colors, so I had to improvise with the checkered patterns. I think it made the puzzle a bit more difficult to solve though, so that was a plus in my opinion.

I got it. You nicely explained the reason for the different colors (and checkered patterns did make it harder by the way). I was just a little confused initially because the black/blue checkered piece on the R side, halfway up was right next to a blue shaped L-piece and some of the blue overlapped, so I couldn't quickly recognize the shape, but now I can. It is the two-2's-on-top-of-two-6's-piece. :-)
