Well done!

Not an especially difficult puzzle, but a method of solving that I had never experienced in a puzzle of this sort. Solving for the red first, I kept finding entire portions of the grid being cut off in unexpected areas. I felt like I was playing that old video game where you are trying to box in the cat. And for all of that, a surprising and satisfying end picture.

What are the red things at the bottom? Did somebody fall off the cliff and the cliffhanger let go?

I'm not sure my suspension of disbelief will allow me to believe that he can save his falling comrade. Perhaps he's hanging from one of the guy wires on the Golden Gate (suspension) Bridge?

It would take Sylvester Stallone-like strength and some cheesy plot armor for this to end well.
