'Papmers' reminds me of the movie: P.C.U.
Took me a moment to 'see' it, but then really enjoyed it#3: Jota (jota) on May 27, 2026
Awesome image!#4: Faith Hurst-Bilinski (FaithHH02) on May 27, 2026
Do people really call all diapers "Pampers"? Is it regional?#5: Bill Eisenmann (Bullet) on May 27, 2026
Must be, Faith. I've never heard it used generically myself (Connecticut)#6: Steve (StevieB) on May 28, 2026
Great image!#7: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on May 28, 2026
me either, but great image nonetheless!#8: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on May 28, 2026
Yonah, that was the first thing I thought, as well! It premiered my freshman year of college, and it was VERY popular at my alma mater!#9: Brian Bellis (mootpoint) on May 31, 2026 [SPOILER]
I've never heard of anyone popping over to 7-11 for some Huggies.#10: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jun 1, 2026 [SPOILER]
I've never heard of anyone popping over to 7-11 for some Pampers :)#11: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jun 1, 2026 [SPOILER]
H.I. McDunnough popped into a convenience store for some Huggies (plus whatever was in the till)#12: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Jun 1, 2026 [SPOILER]
Ha! So he did. :D#13: Bruce Beckett (Bruce Beatlefan) on Jun 1, 2026 [SPOILER]
I think I've only seen that movie one and a half times, but it was somewhat memorable.
1. Had no idea who H. I. McDunnough was.#14: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Jun 2, 2026 [SPOILER]
2. Googled the name.
3. Found that he was (via Nicolas Cage), the protagonist of a movie which I commonly cite as the funniest I have ever seen in my life (this movie, and "Tootsie"). I saw this movie around 1995-1996 (it came out in 1987).
4. I have absolutely no memory...NONE... of this particular scene. I do remember enough of the movie to know why he felt compelled to steal the Huggies.
5. Fresh evidence that my memory has a lot in common with Swiss cheese.
Add, for me:#15: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Jun 2, 2026 [SPOILER]
6. What was I just talking about?
This calls for a link to the Heywood Banks song "Memories Of You":
