Puzzle Description:

I zip tied together the scissors I use when I need to cut zip ties.

I guess you need to buy another pair of scissors.

Unfortunately, they will arrive in a plastic packet that you need a pair of scissors to open...

why would you do that to yourself??

#6: Julie Bay (jb) on Jan 1, 2026 [SPOILER]
Is this some kind of New Year's Resolution about "cutting up?"
#7: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Jan 1, 2026
At least they look neat and tidy.

Hopefully you have a knife! Reminds me of, "We can't hire you. You don't have enough experience."

Nice !

I got reusable zip ties. They're great, and they don't dull your scissors trying to cut them.
#11: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Jan 2, 2026 [SPOILER]
Time to invest in twist ties.
#12: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Jan 2, 2026
Hahaha. This is great. Gives me an idea for a possible future puzzle. Thanks for all of your creations, mootpoint. Love solving them.

Belita, I recently saw a video that showed how *any* ziptie can be loosened and re-used. I wish I could remember the method!
#14: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jan 6, 2026 [SPOILER]
in the big square part, there is a ridged tongue that grips the long strap. If you slide a sharp object between that tongue and the strap, you can slide the strap out.

You mean I spent the extra four bucks for reusable zip ties, when I could have just ruined my husbands pocketknife for free? Dang!
#16: Joe (infrapinklizzard) on Jan 9, 2026 [SPOILER]
Good news! You're far more likely to ruin your hand when the knife slips than you are to ruin a steel knife.
...
Wait, that's not good news at all
#17: Belita (belita) on Jan 10, 2026
I'd probably ruin my hand, the knife, and the zip tie in one fell swoop.
#18: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 10, 2026 [SPOILER]
I think the solution I saw involved pinching the the head open with a pair of pliers, then pulling out the tail.
#19: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Jan 10, 2026 [SPOILER]
Just buy extra zip ties and save your first aid skills for something else.
#20: David Bouldin (dbouldin) on Jan 11, 2026
are you talking about crawfish kristen?
#21: Sue Drummer (sdrummer) on Jan 12, 2026

#22: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Jan 13, 2026
