Yes, Yonah, you have become one of my favorite creators, for your triumvirate of great images, a very funny sense of humor, and solves that are always interesting and satisfying.#3: Audrey (Audrey) on Oct 30, 2025
Keep 'em coming!
I wish people would stop hitting on users like me who solve puzzles but don't create them....I'm just not an artist :-(#4: Yonah Kondor (yokon965) on Oct 30, 2025
No worries Audrey -- I didn't mean to put any undue pressure on you (or anyone else). It's totally okay if you don't create them! :)#5: Kathy Cain (kathycain) on Oct 30, 2025
The username-based puzzles I do are really just an outlet for me to share silly images that come to my mind when I see unique usernames.
I am in the category of "...yet." Thank you Yonah and all you other creators.#6: Jota (jota) on Oct 30, 2025
I like the idea of being a tourist in Yonah's mind!#7: Lollipop (lollipop) on Oct 30, 2025
Audrey @ #3, during my 15 years on the site I've solved more than 30,000 puzzles but haven't created a single one, and it has long been established that I never will. I've never once felt maligned for it. Certainly not by Yonah, who would never do that to anyone, not in a million years. I'm as sure as I can be that his word "yet" about Bruce B was aspirational, because when we log into the site, all of us, creators or not, love to see that a new puzzle has appeared.#8: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Oct 30, 2025
There used to be a very few commenters known to be sharp-tongued, most often about lack of quality of some puzzles. Those commenters eventually stopped because they found no support here for their insults. And for a while there were some non-puzzle-related conversations wherein some members of the virtual community as it was then would exchange, um, philosophical differences. But for these last many years this has been an entirely welcoming community, albeit where everyone is free to civilly express an opinion. I myself have *always* felt welcome. Since I don't create puzzles but stand very much in awe of the efforts, artistry, humour (not misspelled, it's Canadian, go Blue Jays!), and cleverness of the creators, I choose to be active in the community by commenting with positive and occasionally constructive reactions to having others expend their artistic energy for me. In my mind I compare it to applauding to show my appreciation for a live performance. I do sometimes hibernate for a while as I continue solving, but I always come back to participate.
So as a member of the community who, like you, doesn't create, I invite you to participate by being present in the comments section. Or not, either way you're welcome here.
On the other hand we had a member who created but didn't solve. You've probably seen Aldege's puzzles. They pop up from time to time on the home page. So it's solve or don't, create or don't. It doesn't matter. But we all love the comments.#9: Kristen Vognild (kristen) on Oct 30, 2025
Also, not being an artist hasn't stopped many of the creators in here! X-D#10: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Nov 2, 2025
That's me. Solved many puzzles before making my first comment. (I used to print them off and solve on paper.) Started making puzzles for the first time in March of 2023, but I can't draw anything more complicated than stick figures in real life. Solve. Don't solve. Create. Don't create. Comment. Don't comment. You are welcome here. Enjoy the site and know you are not alone.#11: Joanne Firla (JoFirla) on Nov 2, 2025
Funny picture! Enjoyed this one a lot.#12: Norma Dee (norm0908) on Nov 2, 2025
Forgot to mention how clever and well done this puzzle is.#13: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Nov 2, 2025
Yonah, I love this puzzle! Pictures of people's usernames are so much fun!#14: Audrey (Audrey) on Nov 3, 2025
Audrey, please don't feel pressure to create puzzles! Whether or not you create them, you are welcome here!
Sorry, guys, and thank you all#15: Valerie Mates (valerie) on Nov 4, 2025
Audrey -- Please don't be sorry! If you were feeling that way, probably a thousand other people are feeling the same thing too. So I am glad that you wrote about it, so that people could offer reassurance!
