Puzzle Description:

Alessandro VOLTA.. doubted Galvani's conclusion that animal tissue itself was the source of electricity causing muscle contractions. Volta theorized that the electricity was generated by the contact of different metals in a moist environment. To prove his theory, Volta invented the voltaic pile. This device consisted of alternating discs of dissimilar metals, like zinc and copper, separated by pieces of cardboard soaked in saltwater. The voltaic pile produced a steady electric current, demonstrating that a continuous flow of electricity could be generated using non-living materials. The voltaic pile is considered the world's first true battery.

Surely this made the top list of Current Events for the year.

My solution was slightly different from David's:

Line and color logic to 96%.

Any possible position for the green 3 in column 2 will put column 3's green 2 in in rows 4-5.

Line logic to finish.
